Reviews
This place is top notch. Strange hours and definitely an elderly crowd, but this might be some of the best Fettuccine Alfredo I’ve ever had. The service seemed nice, I got take out but while they seemed super busy they still were extremely friendly and nice. It feels more authentic with Frank (the owner) being there for some reason. The place is a little small so you might struggle to get a table right away but I got takeout so it’s hard to comment on that. I will say the servers packed up our to go order very nicely, it was all in a cardboard box with individual cups of garlic and oil for the bread, Parmesan, and butter.
Onto the food, the picture shows what the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo looked like when I opened it. The food was scorching hot and smelled heavenly. Alfredo was decently garlic which is a great plus for me and any other garlic lovers. The sauce was a great consistency, not too watery but not too thick. Chicken was grilled and juicy in the mix. I wish I could go into even more detail but I recommend you come here and try it for yourself.
As much as I want to keep this as a “friends and family secret” because it’s so great, I highly recommend you come and try this place if you are in Marathon and want pasta.
The meal (mussels diavolo on pasta) was very good and spicy. Not to hot, just perfect. And the bread is so, so deliciouse!
The stuff is very friendly and make an effort to fulfill all wishes.
Only the outside area could be more comfortable if you separated it from the parking lot with plants.
WHAT A FIND! This is a GREAT Italian Restaurant. This is not the usual Marathon Florida Keys fare. The food is EXCEPTIONAL! The service is OUTSTANDING! When you need a change from the TIKI Bar environment, this is THE PLACE to go. The pastas are legit. The seafood is absolutely representative of Marathon but done in Italian. This is probably one of the greatest Marathon treasures…This is a must!
Best chicken alfredo I’ve ever had.
Just to preface, chicken alfredo is my go to pasta. It’s easily my favorite dish. We went to the New York Pasta Place in Key West a couple of days ago, and I ordered their chicken alfredo and had to pay $10 extra for chicken that wasn’t seasoned and looked like it had been boiled. I was highly disappointed.
But here!!
This chicken alfredo was delicious and I wish I had more chicken just because it was that good. And it looked like it was grilled and exceptionally seasoned. It not only looked delicious, it tasted just as good. This pasta dish was awesome! And the portions are huge!
My friends and I did take out since we’re on the road today, and the staff still hooked us up with all the fixings. We each got some bread, butter, garlic, and the good kind of parmesan. They even hooked us up with napkins and silverware. It really shows how much they care about the customer experience. We do take-out a couple of times on vacation and other places always seem to be missing something. I never would’ve expected to get bread and oil for our take out order. I’m glad we did because it was delicious.
We were traveling thru the area and we like Italian food so we decided to try Frank's for dinner. We were greeted by a man that asked for our reservation and since we didn't have one, he said "he could squeeze us into the last table available". I asked if we should have made a reservation and he stated "yes this is a small restaurant". We were seated and then pleasantly greeted by our server and she was wonderful thru the rest of our meal. But I will state that the restaurant did not fill up during our time there and in my opinion there wasn't any reason to why the guy who greeted us made us feel so unwelcomed. Our meal was ok but not as outstanding as other reviews say. In my opinion not much flavor and I couldn't even recognize what I ordered was what I was served. We finished our meal, paid the check, gave a very nice tip for our server and proceeded leave....no one said thank you for coming or asking if we will be back again...and that will be a very big No, never, ever again.
I'm not the biggest fan of Italian because the flavors don't excite me much, HOWEVER let me tell you....this is not only the BEST Italian food I've ever had, the fried mozzarella and chicken Alfredo were one of the best meals I've had in a while! The amount of flavors you experience and the continuous burst of deliciousness after every bite is simply perfection. To top it off, Linda our waitress provided us with endless laughs and attentiveness from the moment we entered. Frank the owner also stopped by our table to finalize the perfect experience. Thank you @Franks Grill!
Frank's Grill was unexpected. From the moment we walked in the door we were enveloped in a welcoming environment and the ultimate atmosphere. Our server, Linda, was HILARIOUS, informational, personable, and attentive. The food, ah the food. SO good. From the fresh and warm ciabatta to the phenomenal Alfredo sauce made fresh to order. Ended the night with the homemade cannoli that is made stuffed to order. Frank himself came out to ensure we were enjoying our meal. This is a hidden gem in the Florida Keys. Definitely will return! Thanks Linda!
This restaurant is in the corner of a plaza, and it wasn't visible to me from the street. So showing up on a Tuesday around 5:50 PM we figured it would be empty. But there was already a two-hour wait for indoor seating. This restaurant gets super busy so it's best to make a reservation. Lucky for us, they had one small table available outside.
We started with some wine and fried mozzarella sticks and it only got better from there. My companion had the Chicken Alfredo and it was perfectly creamy; some of the best I've tried. I had the Snapper Francaise and this dish would've been perfect for breakfast or dinner. Overall a great experience and we'll be coming back for sure.
